Buried Alive! Impact 2010
We recently got back from our trip to Nashville, Lipscomb University, for Impact. It was a great trip. We worshiped, fellowshiped, enjoyed food and games, laughed, made many memories, and saw old friends. Colin was wonderful all week. He enjoyed all the people, noise, music, lights, and craziness! The only down side was we had no shades in our dorm room, so Colin went to bed with the sun and woke up with the sun ( 9pm-5am). This is a lot later and earlier than he is used to going to sleep and waking up. So Colin and mommy were up early every morning. Other than that Colin was perfect! The whole week was a blessing to us and our teens! Many lives were changed and "impacted" by God's grace!
While all of this was going on . . . . . .
"Mom, I can't choose I want them all!!!"
He kept trying to pick up more than one, at one point he had two in his hands.
Daddy and Colin playing in the old McQuitty Gym, and of course there is some type of ball involved ;-)
This alligator was part of the decorations for Impact, it was a bayou theme, Colin loved touching it. It was kind of weird because the gator was pretty scary looking!
Side note- Colin has recently started standing with his hands behind his back. And on this occasion he decided to turn up his foot, too. Which makes for an even funnier picture :) I am sure he will love this one later!
Our best friends, Blake and Julie Jones, had their baby girl Emery 1 week before we got to Nashville. We were so excited that she came a little early so we could meet her. Emery Claire is a beautiful sweet baby girl, and of course we discussed the arrangement of Emery and Colin's marriage in about 25 years :)
Colin stealing some kisses!
Colin decided Emery needed another kiss, but after this kiss she received a smack to the head. So then we proceeded to have the "we don't hit girls" talk with Colin. Good thing Uncle Blake and Aunt Julie are laid back, we felt bad!
So we can't be in Nashville and not see our cousins!!
On this visit Colin decided that he was going to hit on his cousins for a change. Little stinker!
Reed, Braden, and Colin
Colin had just given Kylie a kiss, we were watching to make sure Kylie didn't receive the same fate as poor Emery.
I could not be in Nashville and not see these girls! Courtney and Jessie had just gotten back from camp. I am so thankful that they came to see us. We brought Julie dinner and hung out with her and Emery Claire. It was nice catching up! Lots of laughter and old stories! So my beautiful friends didn't want this picture taken, but I made them. I was determined to document this event in our lives. We are all building our families. I know we will look back on this picture and remember :)
