Maddox Joanne 4 months
Time is flying by so fast . . . tear!! Baby girl had her 4 months check up the end of February with Dr. Foland. She was 15 lbs 14 oz and 25 inches, 90% for weight and head circumference and 75% for height. M is my big girl with lots of sweet, sweet rolls and chunks ;>) Dr. Foland said Maddox looks awesome and is super healthy with a mild case of eczema and cradle cap (baby girl has sensitive skin like her mama, sorry Maddox!!). She loves to eat and is still nursing . . . she eats every 2-3 hrs. M is a great sleeper, 10-11 hrs most nights :) She is smiling all the time and laughing, Colin can even make her laugh and smile which he LOVES!! They are really starting to interact more, and he can't wait until she can actually do something. He always tells me, "when Maddox can walk, she can play with me" and then he asks, "when can Maddox walk?" Precious, he ready to be able to play with his sister. Maddox is starting to teeth and is drooling like crazy and chewing on anything she can get her hands on, including her hands! She can also grad toys and has a firm tight grip, and she is rolling over. She loves to stand up and push down with her chunky legs. She is so content and such a blessing to us!
Colin Matthew is my wild, sweet boy!
I can't believe he is almost 3!! He is such a boy. He plays non-stop from the time he gets up in the morning until the time he goes to bed, with one nap in between: superheros, toy story, riding his trike aka the batmobile as he calls it ;), trucks and all his "guys," reading books, and watching movies, the most recent favorites are Batman: the Brave and the Bold, Kung Fu Panda, Tangled, and the Lion King (no worries he still loves Mickey and Toy Story!) He is extremely smart and asks questions all the time, and you better have an answer because "I don't know" doesn't fly with my little man! The only down side is that he is very stubborn which he got honest and wants to do it all on his own, and gets mad easily when something doesn't go his way or the right way . . . we are working on this, lots of talks, time outs, and spankings when needed. Even though this age can be a struggle, we are so blessed by Colin and his thoughts and the way he sees the world, transparent!
Poor Colin was sick for over 3 weeks in January. He had RSV which was awful, that kicked C's booty! He was pitiful, I have never seen my son just lay around like he did when he was sick. We also had to be so careful to try to keep all the germs away from Maddox, we were successful. Thank the Lord. Once Colin got over the RSV, his cough continued and about a week and half later he got an ear infection. So my little guy was sick for almost a month :( It was rough for him, but he was a trooper! Thankfully he has been well for over a month!
Valentine's Day and February birthdays
Happy Birthday to me and Jo Jo!!
Happy Birthday to me and Jo Jo!!
If you can't tell we love our babies so much! I am so thankful and praise God for the blessings that my children are to us and our family. They bring so much joy, laughter, smiles, contentment, education, and even some frustration, but that's what makes it such a wonderful and blessed life for us . . . I wouldn't have it any other way!! (Sorry I got kind of sappy, I guess I am just feeling so blessed beyond measure. I don't deserve any of it and I am so thankful and humbled by my many blessings. God's love and peace is covering me!!)
I am behind with my posts and have had to complete several in the last couple of weeks to catch up. Life is busy, especially since I am working again. Hopefully I can stay caught up, we'll see ;>) More to come . . .
