30 wks!!!!

Here I am at 30 wks. I am doing well. I did find out that I have gestational diabetes, so I am on a new diet and checking my blood sugar 4 times a day. My numbers have been good so far and I am really trying to eat exactly what the dietician told me. My doctor says I am healthy and Colin is healthy. He is growing and getting to be a big boy. He weighed 3 lbs 7 oz at this ultrasound. The main thing we are watching with the gestational diabetes is that Colin does not gain too much weight. I don't want a 9 lb or 10 lb baby. Dr. Wallis will be monitoring us very closely these next 9 or so weeks.

Colin's 3-D ultrasound from Wednesday: enjoy all the really precious pictures.
He is definatly growing!!! : )
Sean and I have about decided that Colin has my nose. We will see soon ; )

He is sticking his tongue out, a little stinker already!
I love this one. Colin is stretching all out saying, "Mom give me more room!!!!"

This is a yawn and it was the funniest thing to see on the ultrasound screen. We were able to see him open his mouth and yawn a big yawn. Sean and I of course went bananas like it was the greatest thing in the world. : ) We already love this boy so much!!!
Colin is thinking just like Whinnie the Pooh. "Think, Think, Think"

Colin's Room Stage Two

Unlce Ryan and Aunt Keeley got these letter for Colin's room. Sean painted them to match and hung them up today. I love it, it looks great!!!!
Aunt Donna made this Roman shade for Colin's room. She did a fabulous job!
Thank you Aunt Donna!!!
We still need to hang the chair railing up, as soon as this is done the room will be complete!!!

Colin's bedding is coming in one piece at a time. Since we wanted something very specific we had to have it made. Our semtress did an outstanding job on everything. We are still waiting on the fitted sheet, quilt, and pillow to match. I love Colin's bedding!!!

We will post the third and final stage once the chair railing gets up, pictures are hung, and bedding is completed. : )

Almost 28 wks!!!!!

Well we are almost 28 wks! I had a doctor appointment yesterday. The dr did all the regulars: bloodpressure, weight, and listened to Colin's heart which was great! But along with all that I have to get the RH negative shot which they give you in the backside and it really HURTS!!!! When I say hurts I mean my backside is still sore today ;) Along with shots I had blood drawn and the gestational diabetes test. I had to drink liquid glucose in 3 minutes and then wait an hour at the dr for the glucose to get in my bloodstream and then they pricted my figure to test my glucose level. It was a little high so I have to go back to the dr for a 3 hour glucose test in the next 2 wks. More poking and proding like they didn't already do enough! But I am watching my sugar and calorie intake and drinking more water so hopefully my levels will be perfect for the test. I will update after the test and when Colin's bedding is completed. We have seen some of the pieces and they look great. I can't wait to get it all and put it together. More pics to come . . . .

Colin's Nursery Stage One

This is a longer post so keep scrolling :)
We will update again once the room is totally finished! Enjoy!
Sean started his "daddy duties" by painting the nursery. He has been working on it for 3 days and it is turning out great. Way to go Daddy!!
Percy was extremely curious about what was going on in that room.
Colin's room has blue stripes and this is how those stripes came to be . . . .
Here are the completed stripes. Good job Sean aka "Daddy"!!!
After the room was painted Sean went on to his second "daddy duty," putting the crib together.
What a good Daddy!
Here is the finished product. We are still waiting on Colin's bedding, it should be ready soon. We will be adding chair railing to the walls to seperate the stripes from the white. We think this will look great once it is complete! I love it so far!!!!
Colin's closet already has clothes.
Changing table/ dresser/ swing

Colin's very first "Albert"

Percy was investigating Colin's room. He was not sure what to think of this. :)
